Elbląg Light-beacon (54°19.5'N, 19°25.8'E) (red metal framework
tower, white top, 10 m in height) stands on a white stone base at the
junction of the fair-ways, leading SSW to Elbląg and SE to Kamienica
Elbląska. The approach fairway from Elbląg Light-beacon, was suitable
for small vessels with a draught of 1.3m.
Quayage and berthing facilities
Kamienica Elbląska is a fishing village with a boat landing place
about 1.25 miles S of the head of the W mole at Elbląg. There is
one mole which shielded the harbour of north winds. The only one
basin of the harbour has quayage of about 360 m with depth
of 1.0 to 1.8m.

In the Elbląg area there are 11 fish processing plants of which
5 plants deal with fresh and frozen fish, 1 produces fish in cans
and fish preserves, 1 produces salted fish, 1 produces smoke fish
and 3 plants deal with alive fish (mainly eel for export).
General information:
Kamienica Elbląska is a fishing village situated 5 miles NE of Elbląg.
Fresh fish caught by fishermen from Kamienica Elbląska was delivered
for market of Elbląg which is a comparatively large industrial town
and port. The harbour is situated, for the greater part on the eastern
bank of Elbląg River, about 6 miles from its entrance to Vistula
Lagoon. There are three basins in the port of Elbląg, providing
total quay lengths of about 2.5km. The quays are equipped with
railway systems and mobile cranes. In the central part of port,
near the old town, there is a 100m length quay for passenger
ships. In the town, there are possibilities for cold-storage
of 5,000t of frozen fish.
Kamienica Elbląska fishing harbour has three quays: NW quay is
300m long, SW quay is 41m long and S quay is 30m long. Nearby
the S quay is railway station.
